Bill Williams

Intro: Hello, my name is Bill Williams and I am currently providing leadership for the Servant Evangelism ministry here at the Vineyard Church of Ithaca.

Basic Stuff: My wife Wendy and I moved to the area nearly ten years ago, and currently live in Trumansburg. We both grew up in Wellsville, NY which is about 70 miles south of Rochester and fairly near the Pennsylvania border. I majored in Ceramic Engineering at Alfred University and graduated in 1994. During my senior year, a computer consulting company from Washington, DC was recruiting on campus and they hired me right out of school. I lived in the DC area for about 4 years and then returned to NY and continue to work for them today from my home office. We have 6 children (Anthony, Devon, Gabe, Sol, Liam, and Owen) ranging in age from 14 to 1 year.

Birthdate: January 25, 1972

Education: B.S. in Ceramic Engineering at Alfred University (a materials science engineering program, we only made ashtrays and mugs the first semester)

Coffee shop: Gimme! in Trumansburg

Music on my iPod: Yo La Tengo, Brightblack Morning Light, MMW (Medeski, Martin, and Wood), Joanna Newsom, Mary Lorson/Saint Low, Radiohead, Classical Guitar music, especially J.S. Bach/Enrique Granados by Julian Bream, and all of the fabulous mix CD's from Josh Swartwood

Books: Bible, Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne, Foxfire series and other books about self-sufficient/eco-friendly living

What I DVR: No cable, but I do watch The Office online occasionally

Sports teams: used to be a Boston Celtics fan, back when I had time to follow sports

Hobbies: Spending time with my family, listening to music, growing food in our garden, classical guitar

Weird Fact: Many people find my full name (William Williams) unusual and laugh when they hear it. But, over the years I have realized that there are actually many famous William Williams out there.. including but certainly not limited to:
