Moses Ong

Bio: Hi, my name is Moses and I'm the newest staff member at the Vineyard. I originally hail from Burbank, CA, a suburb of Los Angeles. I went to college at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA (a suburb of Boston.) While Cornell originally brought me to Ithaca, I ended up working for Catholic Charities and later for the Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program in Tompkins County before starting at the Vineyard in mid-April of 2008.

Education: B.S. Biology, B.A. Biochemistry

Places to Visit: Wherever my friends live i.e. Boston, Philadelphia, & New York City

Coffee shop: I rarely buy coffee, so I guess the church service or the office, or the nearest place.

Music on my iPod: Don't have one, but it's on the "to buy" list.

Books: Fantasy & Adventure Classics i.e. Eragon, Eldest, Harry Potter, The Count of Monte Cristo

What I DVR: Who still pays for cable?! I use an antenna and am quite happy with CBS and Fox. It gets me through the football season.

TV Shows: Bones, MacGyver, JAG, Avatar - The Last Airbender, CHiPs, Transformers

Movies: Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, Cars, The Incredibles, romantic comedies

Sports teams: Lakers, Dodgers, Red Sox, Patriots, Cornell Men's Hockey

Hobbies: Photography, Movies, Volunteering, Legos

Pet Peeves: Tailgaters, particularly when they're right behind me.

Weird Fact: I, Moses, have led Jews seven different times in Boston (when I was in college.) I also rode a bike, off a dock, up a ramp, and into a lake (right after high school, on video)
