Serving @ the Vineyard

Serving, or ministry, at the Vineyard flows from two basic assumptions. First it is based on the compassion and mercy of God. Second, that Jesus Christ as the Messiah came to establish the Kingdom of God -that is, God's right to rule in the world. (Matthew 9:35 - 10:10)

Our desire is to have a church full of ministers. This means that we want each person who is part of the Vineyard to see themselves as ministers of Jesus Christ.

Ministry is a word that describes something every Christian should do. The word "minister" comes from a Latin word meaning servant. A ministry is serving others with the gifts and abilities that God has given to you. Ministry is not meant to be a full-time, paid position. That is the exception, not the rule. Pastors equip people to do the ministry and people minister!

Serving is a great way to grow in your relationship with God, show God's love to others, and to demonstrate the attitude that Jesus modeled when he walked on earth. God created each of us with specific talents and gifts to use in impacting others. Our goal is to provide a place for you to invest yourself serving in the church. Get involved serving this week. In giving of yourself you'll find significance you never imagined!

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)

Sunday Serving Opportunities

Do you want to take your worship experience to a new level? Serve with the ministry teams that help make the Sunday worship gathering a reality. By serving on the greeting, usher, set-up or food team you will impact hundreds of attenders, meet new people, and have fun!

It's easy to serve this week! Simply show up 45 minutes before the start of one of our services, by the main entrance for a brief orientation.

Weekly Serving Opportunities

Serving isn't just for Sundays! Each week there are plenty of opportunities to serve in the Vineyard office. From following up with guests to assembling programs for the Sunday service, investing just one hour makes an eternal difference.

Here are a couple opportunities:

First Response Team: On Monday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm there is opportunity for people to come in and follow up on first and second-time guests at our Sunday service. This is a great way to help new people feel welcome & get connected here at the Vineyard. Please contact Moses to let us know that you are coming.

Thursday Service Day: On Thursday afternoon from 5 to 7:00 pm there is opportunity for people to come in & help put together all of the material that we will use for our Sunday morning service. Please contact Moses to let us know that you are coming.

Serve during the day: If you have an hour or two during the day, there are always opportunities to serve at the Vineyard office during office hours: Monday- Friday, 9:00-5:00 pm. Feel free to drop by the Vineyard office anytime or share your availability with us and we'll contact you.

Serve @ Home: The Vineyard has opportunities to serve in the comfort of your own home on your own schedule.
