Dwelling, Preparing, and Partying

Pastor Mike Foster continues our series Party Preparations with a message from John 14. Jesus does not make a point about there being mansions in Heaven in these verses. His point is neither mansions nor Heaven. It’s about relational connection to God, dwelling in His presence. He later describes it as “you in me, and I in you”. He uses wedding party language when He says He goes to prepare a place. Our life with Him, our life lived in God’s presence, should carry a party vibe. If the groom is preparing a place, then we, the Bride, also need to be preparing for the wedding party.
