Fasting & Prayer
January 18, 2026
- January 24, 2026

Will you commit to joining?
"... fasting is the voluntary denial of an otherwise normal function for the sake of intense spiritual activity. "
The whole church is invited to set aside some time to focus on Christ and His Kingdom through fasting and prayer. If you are new to fasting, we want to help you better understand what we are inviting you to do. You may want to read this simple teaching from Richard Foster's The Discipline of Fasting at the button below. It is one of the best teachings available on the practice of fasting.
Sunday, January 18 | SANCTIFICATION (Set Apart)
We will set apart the week as a sacred fast to the Lord
Prayer Gatherings | Plan to join us at the church as we gather each day this week.
Monday-Friday | 6:30-8:00 pm
Wednesday | 12:00 noon (in addition to the evening session)
Saturday | 10:00 - 11:30 am
Sunday, January 25 | CELEBRATION
We will celebrate the goodness of God with feasting! Bring your favorite dish to share after service.
Why should we fast?
We fast by intentionally setting aside what we normally like and choose to focus more on God and spiritual growth.
How will we do this as a Church?
More information will be coming soon on how we will focus as a church during this time of fasting and prayer.
How can I be involved?
We hope that you will commit to participating. We will help you prepare. Spend time in prayer, listening to the Holy Spirit, to identify something you enjoy. Choose to do without it and replace it with additional prayer, scripture, and worship. Additionally, plan to join us as we gather for prayer eacg day.
What is the Goal?
We are asking our church family to focus on these 4 questions:
1. God, can I know you more?
2. Jesus, is there something in my heart or life that needs purified, cleaned up, or made Holy?
3. Jesus, will you fill me with the Holy Spirit and empower me to help your Kingdom grow?
4. Lord, is there a ministry need that I should be praying for and/or serving?
